On 17th May this year writer Ratnakar Matkari passed away due to Covid-19. He was the writer of many marathi plays like Aranyak, Brahmahatya, Jawai Maza Bhala, Chaar Diwas Premache, etc. His child play writings include Albatya Galbatya which was one of the best child play. He had written many novels and storybooks like Khekada. 

He had received many awards like Dadasaheb Phalke award, Maharashtra State Government's Gadkari Award, Natyavrati Award, etc. His demise was a shock and a wave of sadness among the Marathi industry and his fans.

Recently Badamraja Production has put forth a concept to pay tribute to late writer Ratnakar Matkari. The tribute will be paid by actor Jitendra Joshi on 1st August in an online show of Storytelling. In which he will be presenting stories in a different format in respect of Ratnakar Mtakri.



Jitendra has shared a video on his twitter account in which he is narrating a horror poem that gives us an idea about the show.

The show is directed by Vijay Kenkre. Along with Jitendra Joshi, actor Pushkar Shrotri and Sharvari Lohokare will be appearing in the show as well.
